Suedecloth is sometimes used as a diaper's inner layer or a stay-dry top layer for snap-in soakers. Suedecloth is not a true wicking fabric in the sense that it distributes liquid across the fibers, but it does provide a stay-dry feeling inside a diaper. It does not have the stretch and softness that you get with microfleece, but it will not pill or fade and resists staining.
