For all Very Baby diapers (AIOs, Fitted, etc.), we use top quality Lastin brand clear elastic. Lastin is a soft and flexible clear elastic, resulting in fewer red marks on your baby from the diaper. It is very durable and will withstand your hottest wash and dry cycles, and will not wick, EVER. We use 3/8-inch Lastin for all products rather than the narrower 1/4-inch width. The wider Lastin has a more powerful gathering capability, helping you get a perfect fit every time. Lastin is sewn directly to diaper fabric, providing durable stretch that will last the life of the diaper
Stretchrite Polybraid Elastic
This elastic is 71% Polyester and 29% Rubber, and provides a snug fit wherever we create elastic casings rather than sewing the elastic directly to the diaper fabric.
Fold-Over Elastic Binding (FOE)
For diaper covers and wraps, we bind the edge of the fabric with elastic binding. The binding is stretched where it needs to gather, and left unstretched where it doesn't. We use 3/4-inch wide elastic binding. It is gentle on baby's skin but resists pilling, snagging and fuzzing in the wash, even when washed with diapering items that have hook and loop.
